Cefetra Ecosystem Services and Oxbury Bank Accelerate Regenerative Agriculture in the UK
Cefetra Ecosystem Services is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Oxbury Bank, marking a significant step forward in our joint ambition to accelerate the transition toward more resilient and sustainable agricultural supply chains.
At the heart of this partnership lies a deep, mutual commitment to break down financial barriers for farmers transitioning to regenerative agriculture. By combining Cefetra’s expertise in supply chain management with Oxbury’s financial solutions, we are creating a comprehensive support framework for farmers who are ready to embrace and those who are already embracing regenerative practices.
As part of this initiative, farmers participating in the Cefetra Ecosystem Services Programme will be able to access to the Oxbury Transition Loan Facility which incentivises and rewards those who are transitioning or planning to transition to farming methods that reduce carbon emissions and improve soil health. This partnership serves as a mark of assurance for participating farmers, reinforcing the value of their involvement and ensuring they receive tangible benefits simply by being part of the programme.
This partnership is further strengthened by the involvement of Soil Capital, our partner and a pioneer in regenerative agriculture.
“We are very excited to announce this partnership. It serves as a strong endorsement of the Cefetra Ecosystem Services Programme, reinforcing its credibility and the value it delivers to participating farmers and also consumers of grain. By integrating financial instruments with environmental goals, we are not only mitigating risk at the farm level but also reinforcing value chain collaboration and unlocking new opportunities for low-carbon grain sourcing across geographies.”
Uwe Schröder, Head of Cefetra Ecosystem Services, highlights the broader significance of the initiative.
