Calculated using leading science
Our farming programme provides comprehensive measurement, monitoring, and verification of both emission reductions and removals throughout the entire crop rotation. To accurately calculate these impacts from climate-positive practices, we utilise three primary methods: soil sampling, modeling, and satellite imagery.

Modeling
CFT and DNDC
For assessing removals, we employ Regrow’s DeNitrification-DeComposition (DNDC) model. This advanced soil model simulates the behavior of soil microbes in response to environmental changes and their effects on greenhouse gas emissions. It predicts crop growth, soil temperature, moisture, carbon dynamics, nitrogen leaching, and the emissions of key gases such as nitrous oxide (N2O), nitric oxide (NO), dinitrogen (N2), ammonia (NH3), methane (CH4), and carbon dioxide (CO2).
To evaluate emission reductions, we use the Cool Farm Tool (CFT), an empirical model that calculates net GHG emissions based on a wide range of data, including farm structure, location, soil conditions, and management practices. Developed and refined by a consortium of leading European universities—such as Edinburgh, Cambridge, Aberdeen, Wageningen, and Oxford—the CFT focuses on the three main GHGs related to agricultural crops: carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O).
Satellite imagery further supports our program by verifying crops and land management practices. We use Regrow’s Operational Tillage Information System (OpTIS), which provides updated data every three to five days, ensuring accurate and timely information.
Soil samples are integral to establishing baseline conditions and calibrating our models, ensuring precision in our measurements and assessments.

Certification
The programme is designed according to ISO 14064-02 standards following an audit by TÜV Rheinland. Subsequent certificates are issued by the CSA registry to ensure a clear and smooth transfer of claims with clear chain of custody.
