Cereals Event 2025

Cefetra Ecosystem Services was pleased to have participated in the Cereals Event 2025, a key gathering within the agricultural sector that took place in the UK. Uwe Schröder and Jason Hayward-Jones had the opportunity to connect with a wide range of people, from long-standing partners to new farmers and customers.

Over the course of the event, Uwe and Jason engaged in meaningful conversations with farmers who shared their experiences from a particularly challenging season. Prolonged dry spells and difficult field conditions have tested the resilience of the sector. These stories continue to motivate Cefetra in its mission to deliver practical, sustainable solutions that support farmers through such periods of uncertainty.

The event was a great opportunity to reflect on the first results from the initial cohort of farmers enrolled in the Cefetra Ecosystem Programme. The initial data is promising and underscores the value of the programme in helping farmers transition toward more regenerative practices while meeting the evolving needs of the market.

“What we put forward to both farmers, on one end of the supply chain, and consumers, to the other, is that they can feel safe that is a rigorous programme. We wouldn’t promote it and suggest it if we weren’t comfortable with it”

Reflecting on this, Jason Hayward-Jones noted

“We now have a fairly big cohort of farmers and a variety of them that allows us to be quite flexible and responsive to what the market wants”

Cefetra is proud to be building meaningful connections and sharing insights that contribute to a more resilient supply chain and regenerative agricultural future. Furthermore, it has been exciting to sense a growing interest in the new Farmers Portal, which is a promising step to improve engagement and support for the agricultural community.

The Cefetra stand served as a vibrant hub for food, drinks, and insightful conversation. At Cereals Event 2025 there was a noticeably higher footfall than in previous years. As we look ahead to next year’s event at Clarkson’s Farm, we are optimistic about anticipating even greater engagement, a stronger brand presence, and deeper collaboration with our partners across the sector.
